Hitachi Energy, global power and energy technology company, has delivered a complete MicroSCADA Pro monitoring and control system for a 52 MW thinfilmPV plant in Lopburi, Thailand. As per Hitachi Energy, the solution includes integration with string monitoring systems, solar inverters, RTU540 remote terminal units, and several types of protection relays. Servers have been installed at critical control points to manage operations and maintenance for the PV modules, 115 KV substation, inverters, and switchgear. The company said that the system enables operators to track plant performance ratios and receive failure alarms in real time. Serm Sang Palang Ngan Co., Ltd. required a single centralized SCADA platform to improve efficiency and operational reliability. The setup also allows staff to identify disturbances early using predictive diagnostics and weather-linked data. Hitachi Energy has previously installed a similar SCADA solution at a 73 MW solar facility in the same region for the same developer.
