FuturaSun, an Italy-based manufacturer of photovoltaic modules, has established SunXT in partnership with Eniverse to advance perovskite photovoltaics. Eniverse, Eni’s corporate venture builder, supports the initiative in alignment with objectives for energy transition and technological development. SunXT aims to commercialize perovskite-silicon tandem photovoltaic panels across various market segments. The venture leverages Solertix, a deep-tech startup specializing in perovskite cell research, which now serves as the Italian center of excellence for tandem photovoltaics within the FuturaSun Group. The technology employs a four-terminal bifacial architecture that integrates perovskite modules with conventional silicon modules. The initial phase involves constructing a pilot production line, followed by progression to industrial-scale manufacturing. SunXT’s share capital is distributed as 56.1% to FuturaSun and 43.9% to Eniverse.
