EnergySage, a US-based solar and storage marketplace, has released its 20th Solar & Storage Marketplace Report. According to EnergySage, residential solar prices have dropped to $2.50 per watt, the lowest recorded since 2014, while storage prices have fallen to $999 per kilowatt-hour stored. As per EnergySage, one-third of quoted panels in H2 2024 were rated above 450 W, compared to just 1% a year earlier. Tesla’s Powerwall 3 has become the most quoted battery and the second-most quoted inverter due to its integrated design. The report has stated battery attachment rates have reached 45%, reflecting rising demand for integrated solar-storage systems. EnergySage has also warned that stockpiling ahead of tariffs is likely to impact US solar market growth in 2025.
