DAS Solar, a China-based PV manufacturer, has presented its latest n-type innovations at a recent virtual conference at TaiyangNews. DAS Solar’s R&D strategy is based on core TOPCon technology with three supporting innovations: Diamond Back-contact, Tandem Silicon-Perovskite, and Singlet Fission on Silicon. DAS Solar has achieved over 27% cell efficiency with its TOPCon 5.0 technology, featuring PolyFinger and current transfer improvements. Its Diamond Back-contact modules have reached 27.2% efficiency by eliminating front-side metallization for better light absorption. TÜV Rheinland has certified DAS Solar’s modules for anti-UVID durability and higher output. DAS Solar has introduced corrosion-resistant modules for offshore use and self-cleaning modules for high-soiling regions. The company also highlighted floating solar plants, including a 650 MW project in China and a 74 MW project in France. Recently, DAS Solar and Martin Green Lab announced plans to achieve 40% SFOS cell efficiency by 2027.
