DAS Solar, a China-based manufacturer, has announced that its DBC 3.0 Plus back-contact solar cell achieved a certified conversion efficiency of 27.77%, which was officially verified by CPVT. The announcement was made at the 21st Conference on Photovoltaic Science and Technology held in Quzhou. DAS Solar has said that the advanced cell recorded an open-circuit voltage of 745.7 mV and integrated SiOβ/Poly-Si passivated contacts across both n-type and p-type regions to ensure stronger junction performance and overall structural stability. DAS Solar stated that the new architecture was designed by combining TOPCon and back-contact features and incorporated hybrid passivation using composite films, embedded diode design, and high-precision laser patterning techniques to optimize energy efficiency and manufacturing reliability. DAS Solar has further explained that 0BB interconnection was introduced to minimize silver paste consumption, while black silicon surface texturing improved ultraviolet resistance, material compatibility, and long-term device durability under diverse operating conditions. DAS Solar has added that concealed layouts, optimized soldering, and lossless current collection were implemented at the module level to enhance current transmission, weak-light response, and overall adaptability in challenging environmental conditions.
