Atomic-6, a manufacturer of the world's finest composite solutions, has secured a $2 million TACFI grant from the US Space Force. The funding will help mature and flight-qualify its Light Wing™ solar array. The 21-month project includes composite testing, cell compatibility checks, and space environment trials. The all-composite, redeployable system delivers four times more power per kilogram. It is designed for high-bandwidth communications, orbital computing, and human space stations. Former ISS Commander Chris Hadfield has joined Atomic-6’s advisory board. Astronaut Dr. Scott Parazynski has also endorsed technology. Price Forbes is working with insurers to assess deployment risks. The Light Wing was recently selected to power lunar data centers for Sidus Space. Atomic-6 has received $2.7 billion in contract requests for the system.
