TCL Photovoltaic Technology (TCL PV Tech), a division of China-based TCL, unveiled its Balcony Solar System at the Solar Solutions Düsseldorf fair, aiming to serve urban residents with limited rooftop space. The compact system combines photovoltaic modules, mounting brackets, and cables for sustainable household energy generation. TCL claims the plug-and-play system activates instantly when connected to a socket and offers real-time energy monitoring through a Wi-Fi-enabled app. Built for durability, it is weather-resistant and ensures year-round reliability. Lightweight 7.2 kg panels with pre-installed brackets enable installation in three steps: unfold, angle, and hang. Its sleek all-black design suits balconies, terraces, and railings, with adjustable angles maximizing sunlight capture. TCL estimates the system could save €259 (~$282) annually on electricity, presenting an efficient and eco-friendly solution.
