Egypt-headquartered TAQA Arabia and Somabay have inaugurated Egypt's largest solar-powered desalination plant. The first phase, with a capacity of 3,650 cubic meters per day, will provide sustainable water to the resort. A second phase, set to add another 3,650 cubic meters daily, is expected to be completed within six months. Upon completion, the project will deliver a total capacity of 7,300 cubic meters of water daily and 7.5 MW of renewable energy.
