China-based Grand Sunergy has led several innovative solar projects, including a 3,050 km green belt around China’s Taklamakan Desert. This initiative includes the 500 MW Photovoltaic Sand Control Demonstration Project, where 22,000 acres of sand-fixing plants like alfalfa have been cultivated under solar panels to enhance sand prevention and ecological defense. The company has supplied high-efficiency solar modules designed for tear resistance, corrosion resistance, and load durability in harsh desert conditions. Grand Sunergy has also executed a 400 MW offshore PV project in Laizhou Bay, China’s first deepwater pile foundation installation, using its advanced “Seapower” Series HJT modules. Additionally, at a 600 MW salt-PV hybrid base in Laizhou and a project in Hebei, solar panels have been integrated with salt production and transportation infrastructure respectively.
