New York-based Syncarpha Capital has announced the operation of its 7.1 MWDC community solar project, Syncarpha Carver LLC, following its Permission to Operate (PTO) approval on November 26, 2024. Located on 28 acres of cranberry bogs in Carver, Massachusetts, the project includes a 4 MW, 2-hour battery storage system. Developed under the Massachusetts Solar Massachusetts Renewable Target (SMART) program, it will deliver 9,500 MWh of clean energy annually, through Eversource Energy. Syncarpha claims the project supports nearly 350 low-income residents and institutions like Tufts University and Milton Academy with discounted solar credits. Leased from E.J. Pontiff Cranberries Inc., the site integrates renewable energy with agricultural preservation.
