Swell Energy expands with Renu Energy Solutions acquisition 

Swell Energy Inc. has acquired Renu Energy Solutions, a Carolina-based solar and energy storage firm, marking a strategic move to deploy Virtual Power Plants (VPPs) across key energy markets. The merger combines Renu’s project development expertise with Swell’s financing and VPP technology, positioning the united entity to expand its presence in the Southeast and mid-Atlantic. Renu, a significant regional player in solar and battery storage since 2010, brings a focus on quality installations and energy monitoring, along with its subsidiary Sun Service Specialists. The synergy creates operational efficiencies and allows Swell to extend its channel partner program to the East coast, fostering collaboration in the solar and storage sector.
