Super Smelters Ltd. has announced a strategic partnership with TATA Power Renewables to promote renewable energy in Eastern India. This collaboration, marked by a Memorandum of Understanding, aims to commission 5 MW of PV capacity, achieving 100% green power for steel production. The initiative is projected to generate 147,014 MWh of clean energy and significantly reduce carbon emissions by up to 120,110 tons. The total capacity under this agreement includes an earlier commissioned 245 kW, bringing the total to 5.245 MW. This effort represents a significant step towards reducing CO2 emissions in steel production.
