India-based SunSource Energy has launched three new open access solar power plants in Uttar Pradesh. Located in Jhansi and Lalitpur, these projects have a combined capacity of 45 MWp. According to SunSource Energy, this capacity is secured through PPAs with various high-profile clients. The plants are expected to generate around 1.5 million MWh of solar energy and reduce CO2 emissions by up to 1.4 million tonnes over their operational life. The energy will cater to major clients, including a leading media conglomerate, a data center, an educational institute, and global beverage firms. With this addition, SunSource Energy’s total capacity in Uttar Pradesh reaches nearly 100 MWDC. The company also operates three solar projects in Bijnor and has deployed approximately 600 MWp of solar assets across India.
