Sunova Solar has taken a step towards integrated solar production with a new 9GW cell manufacturing facility in Yibin City, China. Operational since January 5, 2024, the facility produces 182mm, 199mm, and 210mmTOPCon cells, achieving an annual production capacity of 9 GW, equivalent to 36,000 modules per day. This strategic investment aims to reduce reliance on external suppliers, enhance supply chain control, and ensure module production with non-forced labor materials. The state-of-the-art automated facility utilizes 5G-AGV transport systems, while stringent quality checks maintain cell quality. The factory prioritizes environmental sustainability with a rooftop PV system and water recycling.
