Suniva, the largest US manufacturer of high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon solar cells, has partnered with Texas-based Imperial Star Solar, a producer of American-made solar PV modules, in a multi-year sourcing deal. Starting in early 2025, Imperial Star will use Suniva’s US-made cells in its modules, making them among the few crystalline modules with domestically sourced components. The collaboration supports US developers in mitigating supply chain risks and qualifying for the Domestic Content Bonus Investment Tax Credit. This applies to installations such as rooftop and ground-mounted systems. According to Suniva, the partnership also ensures compliance with US Treasury Domestic Content requirements, aligning with current federal guidelines to support renewable energy goals.
