Suniva, Inc., the leading U.S. producer of high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon solar cells, and Heliene, Inc., a North American solar PV module provider, signed a three-year strategic sourcing deal. Heliene will integrate Suniva's U.S.-manufactured solar cells into its modules, marking the first use of U.S.-made cells in crystalline solar modules. The agreement responds to the demand for projects to qualify for the 10% Domestic Content Bonus Investment Tax Credit. This collaboration aims to boost domestic cell and module manufacturing to meet rising demand for secure, domestically produced PV modules, addressing a gap in the U.S. solar supply chain.
