Summit Ridge Energy has enlisted Castillo Engineering for design and engineering services for a significant 82 MW portfolio, comprising 26 community solar projects in Illinois. These projects, averaging 3 MW each and part of the Illinois Shines program, will employ bifacial solar modules on single-axis solar trackers, aiming to offer affordable, clean energy and foster pollinator-friendly habitats. The majority of constructions are slated to commence in Q1 2024, with an expected completion date of Q4 2024. This collaboration marks a milestone, with Castillo Engineering and Summit Ridge Energy achieving over 120 projects totaling 375 MW nationwide.
