SPIE, a European multi-technical services provider in energy and communications, has acquired 75% of MBG energy GmbH, a Berlin-based company specializing in PV roll-out services. MBG, founded in 2018, employs 47 people and generated around EUR 15 million revenue in 2023. The acquisition enhances SPIE's presence in the growing photovoltaic market, aligning with EU directives mandating solar installations on buildings. MBG's founders remain with SPIE to drive business growth, holding minority shares. The acquisition also promises synergies with SPIE's Technical Facility Management segment in Germany.
