Next-Gen SolarEdge inverter revealed

SolarEdge Technologies, Inc., a global leader in smart energy technology, unveiled its next-generation three-phase solar inverter and dedicated home battery for the European residential market at Intersolar 2024. According to the company, this solution, expected in the second half of 2025, targets the growing segment of larger residential solar+storage rooftop installations. The inverter, designed for full home backup applications, will reach a higher power class of up to 20 kW. Utilizing Silicon Carbide (SiC) switches will significantly reduce size and weight per kW while boosting efficiency and power density. The system supports the SolarEdge Home wireless network and features a modular battery platform with a compact, stackable design for flexibility and scalability. This ensures optimal performance, automatic module balancing, and maximized self-consumption in larger systems.
