Israel-based SolarEdge Technologies, Inc., has launched its high-power TerraMax Inverter combined with H1300 Power Optimizers in Italy. The SE330K inverter, certified with local regulation (CEI 0-16), is designed for small-to-medium utility-scale PV installations. It is ideal for varied topologies and challenging site conditions, including sloped, uneven, as well as dual-use sites like floating PV and Agri-PV with trackers. According to the company, the TerraMax Inverter incorporates advanced Module Level Power Electronics (MLPE) to increase energy output by overcoming module mismatch and shading losses. It features built-in safety measures, design flexibility, and high-precision module-level monitoring and PV fleet management via the SolarEdge ONE platform. The claims that this inverter achieves 99% efficiency, 200% DC-oversizing, and supports up to 80-module string lengths, reducing balance of system costs by up to 50%, reducing site visits, increasing system uptime, and lowering O&M costs.
