RWE, a leading UK power producer, has signed its first UK Solar PPA with Kerry Group’s UK division, spanning over a decade. This PPA will provide clean electricity, covering half of Kerry’s UK electricity needs. Kerry aims to reduce its Scope 1 & 2 carbon emissions by 55% by 2030 and achieve net zero by 2050. The agreement includes two distinct pay-as-produced PPAs sourced from RWE’s UK solar projects: Cotmoor in Nottinghamshire and Copse Lodge in Northamptonshire. These projects, potentially yielding 49.9 MW each, contribute to RWE’s UK solar portfolio, which exceeds 4.4 GW. Cotmoor’s construction has already begun post Financial Investment Decision, while Copse Lodge is scheduled for construction in 2025.
