Meton Energy S.A., a joint venture between RWE Renewables Europe & Australia and PPC Renewables, has greenlit the construction of the Orycheio Dei Amynteo solar farm, the final project in the 940 MW Amynteo portfolio in Greece. This 450 MW solar farm, situated in Western Macedonia, secured €127.7 million from the EU’s NextGenerationEU funds for its €255.4 million investment. The Amynteo Clusters I & II, totaling 490 MW, are already under construction and expected to connect to the grid this year. The venture, backed by Power Purchase Agreements with PPC and RWE Supply & Trading, showcases the partners’ dedication to Greece’s renewable energy transition.
