RWE Clean Energy has acquired 599 MW of solar and energy storage projects from Galehead Development, LLC. This acquisition includes three projects: Cedar Ridge in Blaine County, Idaho (300 MWac solar paired with 150 MW/600 MWh energy storage), Remington in Marion County, Oregon (199 MW, 4-hour/796 MWh standalone BESS), and Champlain in Washington County, New York (100 MWac PV). These projects are in various development stages, with two located in Pacific Northwest and one in northeastern New York, strengthening RWE’s position. RWE’s US development pipeline now includes 36 GW of onshore wind, solar, and BESS. RWE aims to grow its renewables portfolio from over 9 GW net installed capacity today to over 19 GW net by 2030.
