India-based RMC Switchgears Limited signed a MoU with the Government of Rajasthan to develop a 1GW Ultra Mega Solar Park in Jaipur, which will include integrated battery storage. The project is expected to be completed within 2-3 years.It will contribute towards RMC’s goal of implementing 1 GW of greenfield projects. This initiative aligns with India’s objective to achieve 450 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030. The solar park is expected to create approximately 2,000 jobs, contributing to the socio-economic development of Rajasthan, with power generation anticipated by 2026.
