Denmark-based GreenGo Energy has advanced four renewable energy projects—Stovstrup, Hemmet-Sønder Vium, Nørhede-Hjortmose, and Vennervej—chosen by the Council of Ringkøbing-Skjern Municipality for further consideration. These projects are part of the Megaton initiative, which will supply power to the Stovstrup plant which converts produces hydrogen and e-methanol, a green fuel. According to the company, it is committed to working closely with local communities and stakeholders, aiming for strong cooperation and support. The next phase will involve adapting the projects to local needs through dialogue. A decision on formal planning, including environmental assessments, is expected by 2025. GreenGo Energy has over 35 GW of solar, wind, and storage projects under development globally, with 6 GW secured via partnerships.
