Aboitiz Upgrade Solar Inc. (AUSI) is a joint venture between AboitizPower and Upgrade Energy Philippines (UGEP). The company has signed a long-term solar power purchase agreement (PPA) with Republic Cement & Building Materials, Inc. (RCBM). AUSI will develop, build, and operate a ground-mounted solar project at RCBM's facility in San Mateo, Norzagaray, Bulacan. The project is scheduled for completion in the second half of 2025. AUSI will finance and manage the project while selling the generated power exclusively to RCBM. This initiative aims to reduce RCBM's carbon footprint and achieve operational savings. AUSI focuses on distributed solar solutions for large commercial and industrial consumers. The company supports the Philippines' transition to renewable energy.
