Repsol has completed construction of Frye Solar, its largest PV plant, boasting a total capacity of 637 MW with 570 MW currently in operation, near Kress, Texas. The plant, featuring nearly 1 million solar panels, has secured a long-term power purchase agreement for 89% of its output. With Frye included, Repsol's renewable capacity in Texas, including Outpost and Pinnington, reaches 2,091 MW. This expansion aligns with Repsol's decarbonization strategy, aiming to invest €3-4 billion to achieve 9,000-10,000 MW of capacity by 2027, with 30% earmarked for the United States post-project pipeline consolidation.
