Sungrow, a global provider of solar inverters and energy storage, has unveiled its MG5RL and MG6RL hybrid inverters along with the MGL060 battery at REI 2025. The MG series was designed to enhance residential solar systems with efficient power conversion and reliable backup support. The inverters offered up to 6 kW capacity, dual MPPT inputs, and compatibility with multiple battery packs. They supported full power backup of up to 4.5 kW and allowed parallel installation for scalability. The design focused on safety with explosion-proof construction and active protection features. It also integrated smart control through iHomeManager, isolated arc detection, and intelligent IV scanning for improved monitoring and system management.
