Panasonic Corporation, a Japan-based multinational specializing in solar, EV, and battery technologies, has showcased its latest renewable innovations at REI 2025 in India. As per Panasonic, the company has introduced 620–630 Wp TOPCon solar modules with 23.3% efficiency and a 132 half-cut bifacial design. Panasonic has also presented 580–600 Wp TOPCon modules with 23.23% efficiency and 540–550 Wp PERC variants offering 21.29% efficiency. Nearly 90% of Panasonic’s solar production capacity is currently based on TOPCon technology, while less than 10% is dependent on PERC. Several of its modules have received ALMM approval, confirming their suitability for deployment in India. Panasonic has further unveiled new electric vehicle charging units and solar street lighting systems at the event. The company has announced plans to enter the non-tandem perovskite solar cell segment by 2028 through collaborations with Japanese technology partners.
