Borosil Renewables, an India-based manufacturer of solar glass products, has exhibited select solar and BIPV glass variants at REI 2025, including a newly introduced grid-compatible model. The company has produced solar glass in thicknesses ranging from 2 mm to 5 mm, with 70% of total output comprising 2 mm glass. According to Borosil Glass, nearly 99% of its solar glass is supplied to utility-scale projects, while limited quantities serve the commercial sector. The company has noted that red and brown tile-colored glass remains most preferred in global BIPV applications. Borosil Glass has also reported that its production capacity of 1,350 tons per day is anticipated to reach 1,950 tons by 2026.

During REI 2025, Borosil Renewables displayed 2–5 mm solar glass for 40–750 W modules and introduced a new grid-compatible glass type for utility use.
