The US-based Recurrent Energy, a subsidiary of Canadian Solar Inc., has signed a 10-year PPA with a US-based technology company. The agreement covers clean energy procurement from the Tordesillas PV project located in Valladolid in Spain. This project has an installed capacity of 300 MW and is expected to be operational by 2026. Recurrent Energy will own and manage it post-completion. The company claims the plant will produce 620 GWh annually. This output can power 188,000 homes and offset 161,000 tons of CO₂ emissions each year. Recurrent’s pipeline in Spain exceeds 2 GW of solar projects. Additionally, it includes 60 MWh of battery storage capacity.
