Quinbrook closes $600M funding for solar projects

Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners has successfully closed the Quinbrook Valley of Fire Fund, securing $600 million from leading US and European institutional investors. The fund has acquired a 51% stake in the Gemini Solar + Storage project and full ownership of the Valley of Fire development portfolio. Gemini, located near Las Vegas, Nevada, is now one of the largest operational solar + storage projects in the US, boasting 690 MW of solar capacity and a 1,416 MWh battery storage facility. The Valley of Fire portfolio includes seven projects totaling over 2.65 GW of solar PV capacity and the potential for an additional 1.5 GW of battery storage across Nevada, Colorado, and Arizona. Quinbrook’s portfolio company, Primergy Solar, oversees the development, including the Purple Sage Energy Center, a 400 MW solar and 1.6 GWh battery energy storage project in Nevada.
