US’s Qcells announced the sale of its 200 MW Ursa Solar Project, formerly Langdon Mills Solar, to Wisconsin utility companies We Energies, Wisconsin Public Service Corporation (WPS), and Madison Gas and Electric (MGE). Located in Columbia County, Wisconsin, the Ursa Solar Project is designed to generate enough electricity to power approximately 60,000 homes. Qcells will develop and provide engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services, as well as supply solar panels with domestic content from its Georgia facility. The project is scheduled to begin construction in 2025, with completion anticipated by 2027, supporting Wisconsin’s expanding renewable energy capacity in partnership with major regional utilities.
