France-headquartered Qair, a renewable energy company, has commissioned its fully developed solar photovoltaic (PV) farm in Italy. The 8.2 MW facility is in the Marrubiù industrial estate in Oristano, Sardinia. It is expected to generate 12.7 GWh of renewable energy annually. This output is sufficient to meet the energy needs of 3,000 households while offsetting 350 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year. The project is built on municipal land and will provide rental income to the local municipality for 30 years. This is an important step in Qair’s Italian expansion and brings its total installed capacity in the country to 21 MW.
