VDE Americas has conducted a performance study on GameChange Solar’s Genius Tracker HailStowsystem at a utility-scale solar facility in Arkansas during April 2025. The system was evaluated during six hailstorms that met the activation criteria for hail stow, and in all instances, it responded as intended—processing alerts, sending notifications, and repositioning panels to a steep angle to reduce hail impact. The study confirmed the system’s effectiveness in protecting solar assets in hail-prone regions. GameChange Solar, one of the leading global solar tracker manufacturers, collaborated with VDE to ensure that its hail mitigation technology performs reliably under real-world conditions, enhancing asset protection and supporting insurability.
