LONGi Green Energy, a Xi’an-based manufacturer of PV products, has received TÜV Rheinland Germany’s Grade AAA certification for its Hi-MO X10 lightweight back-contact module under the 2PfG 2992/08.24 standard. According to LONGi Green Energy, the certification has verified the module’s reliability through rigorous tests covering thermal cycling, PID, vibration, and wind uplift performance. The Hi-MO X10 modules, which was introduced mid 2025, is designed for rooftops with limited load-bearing capacity. It weighs 7.2 kg/m², making it 42 % lighter than conventional modules, and helps shorten installation time for a 1 MW project by up to 34 days. The module has achieved up to 560 W output with 24.8 % efficiency using HPBC 2.0 cell technology. This design has improved shading recovery, restoring nearly 70 % of power loss in partial shading conditions. LONGi Green Energy has verified these results through a 1.5 MW demonstration project in Hangzhou, confirming high generation and cost efficiency. Recently, LONGi Green Energy has demonstrated superior reliability as its modules outperformed TOPCon panels in Yantai offshore PV trials.
