China headquartered, Sunhome has launched its smart residential energy systems in Romania, marking its entry into the Eastern European solar market. Romania’s residential and small commercial PV sectors had a combined annual installation potential of approximately 790 MW, supported by national strategies. The company has proposed three system types designed for different housing formats: Oasis Home for villas, Woods Home for townhouses, and Moss Home for condominiums. These systems integrated photovoltaic power generation, energy storage, EV charging, and energy management to support high levels of on-site renewable energy use. The systems were built around Sunhome’s Power-Magic Cube platform, which managed energy generation, storage, and utilization. The initiative responded to increasing demand for distributed solar in Romania and aligned with broader regional growth in residential photovoltaics.
