Nebula Electronics, a China-based energy systems integrator, has partnered with Germany’s ambibox GmbH and Australia’s Red Earth Energy Storage to develop a residential Microgrid-in-a-Box (MIB). The MIB is designed to integrate solar generation, battery storage, and bidirectional EV charging for Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) applications. According to Nebula Electronics, the system has demonstrated up to 60% energy cost savings and enables household participation in energy trading markets. ambibox has contributed validated power electronics and energy management software, while Nebula has led system integration and mass production efforts. Red Earth Energy Storage is responsible for deployment, off-grid expertise, and cloud platform support in Australia and New Zealand. The first MIB units are scheduled for release in 2026 across China, Europe, and Australia/New Zealand. The project is based on local manufacturing and globally coordinated deployment.
