China-based module manufacturer, LONGihas deployed over 580MW of Hi-MO 9 and Hi-MO 7 solar modules across utility-scale projects in Southern Europe. The Hi-MO 9 modules, using back contact (BC) technology, deliver up to 670W output and 24.8% efficiency, suitable for a range of terrains. These projects support regional renewable electricity targets of 80% by 2030. The Hi-MO 9 installations are projected to generate over 610GWh of electricity annually and reduce more than 320,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions. The use of BC architecture improves energy yield by eliminating front-side shading, while higher power density allows for reduced land use. These deployments reflect ongoing efforts to increase grid-connected solar capacity with high-efficiency modules designed for long-term operation in variable climatic conditions across Southern Europe.
