China-based JA Solar’s DesertBlue photovoltaic module series was recognized with the Desert PV Module AQM Award 2025 by TÜV Rheinland Group. The recognition followed tests conducted under desert conditions involving high ambient temperatures, ultraviolet radiation, and sandstorms. According to JA Solar, the DesertBlue modules demonstrated more than 32 percent lower transmittance degradation compared with conventional photovoltaic products. JA Solar also reported that the modules recorded up to 14 percent lower power loss from abrasion than standard units. TÜV Rheinland stated that the evaluation assessed durability, reliability, and energy yield, and confirmed that the DesertBlue modules maintained consistent performance under extreme desert conditions.
