Global manufacturer of HJT solar products, Huasun Energy has released a technical summary of vertical PV applications from its Kunlun series heterojunction (HJT) modules. The report summarizes field trial data since 2023 across various climates and geographies. The trials indicated that vertical PV systems have greater energy yield, better internal rate of return (IRR), lower levelized cost of electricity (LCOE), and more efficient land-use compared to traditional tilted systems. The introduction describes the use of vertical configurations in various environmental conditions based on system performance and design assessment. It provides comparative results of actual installations to aid evaluation of vertical PV configurations and inform implementation methods in various geographical conditions. Recently, Huasun held a roadshow in Munich to display 730 W HJT modules and vertical PV use with Next2Sun's 5.3 MW agrivoltaic project.
