Hoymiles, a China-based power electronics manufacturer, has launched the HIT-(5-20)L-G3 hybrid inverter for residential and commercial solar applications. The inverter offers 5–20 kW output and supports whole-home backup with a 50A bypass current and <10 ms switchover time. Hoymiles has stated that the system operates below 60 V DC for enhanced safety and includes built-in AFCI protection and RED-EN18031 certification. It is compatible with Hoymiles’ battery systems and EV chargers and can operate in parallel with up to 10 inverters. The inverter includes four MPPTs to optimize rooftop layouts and achieves up to 98.5% efficiency with 200% DC/AC oversizing. It also provides 200% overload support for 10 seconds to power heavy appliances. According to Hoymiles, its built-in Peak Shaving and Time-of-Use modes enable users to manage energy use and reduce electricity bills.
