AESOLAR Energy GmbH in Germany has announced the launch of its Eclipse product series, featuring N-type back-contact (BC) solar cell technology. This marks one of the first BC-technology offerings from a European PV module manufacturer. The Eclipse series was developed to meet demand for higher-power modules and to expand AESOLAR’s product range. It includes two initial variants: the ICME-132BDS, with up to 24.43% efficiency, 640–660 W output, and 49.52–49.92 V open-circuit voltage; and the ICMD-108BDE (Full Black), with up to 23.8% efficiency, 470–485 W output, and 33.29–33.62 V voltage. The modules incorporate advanced cell passivation, low temperature coefficient (about –0.26%/°C), and durability measures, including 1% initial degradation and 0.35% annual decay. Design features reduce shading-related power loss by over 70% and minimize fire risk from hotspots. AESOLAR will present the Eclipse series at the Solar Solutions exhibition in Düsseldorf.
