Primergy Solar LLC has secured USD 588 million in debt financing for the 408 MW Ash Creek Solar project in Hill County, Texas, and inked a long-term PPA with Microsoft. The project is situated in an area of high energy demand, and is anticipated to power approximately 90,000 homes annually with carbon-free energy. SOLV Energy is handling the construction as its EPC partner, and will create 350 local jobs, with six permanent positions for operational safety. Over its lifespan, the project will contribute an estimated $100 million in tax revenue to Hill County and bolster local school district finances. Primergy acquired the project from Orion Power Generation in 2021.
