Masdar, EDF Renewables, and Nesma Company inked a PPA for the 1,100 MW Al Henakiyah solar plant with the Saudi Power Procurement Company. Their $1 billion project secured with a $16.84/MWh bid will power 190,000 homes and slash 1.8 million tonnes of CO2 annually. This project combines the consortium expertise, targeting financial close in early 2024 and grid connection by 2025.
