Pacific Energy has implemented four hybrid power systems for Westgold Resources Limited in Western Australia. The systems have a total capacity of 82 MW, comprising 28MW of solar power, 11.5MW of battery energy storage (BESS), and 42.5 MW of high-efficiency gas generation. Installed at Westgold'sTuckabianna, Bluebird, Fortnum, and Big Bell facilities, they have replaced six diesel-fired plants, projected to displace 38 million litres of diesel annually and reduce carbon emissions by up to 57,000 tons each year. The Tuckabianna system reached up to 36.9% solar penetration in December 2023.
