Onyx Renewable Partners and Qcells North America are collaborating on two community solar and battery projects in Massachusetts, totaling 6.2 MW solar and 5.5 MWh energy storage. The collaboration aims to enhance local renewable energy capacity, offsetting 3,900 tons of CO2 annually. Leveraging Massachusetts’ SMART incentive program and Clean Peak Energy Standard, the projects will contribute to a sustainable and reliable power grid. Featuring Qcells’ DC-coupled battery storage technology and Geli EMS, the projects prioritize clean, resilient benefits and implement a risk-sharing partnership structure for long-term asset mitigation. The partnership anticipates future expansions in various regions.
