Octopus Energy’s generation arm expands into Germany with strategic solar investments. The 122 MW Schiebsdorf solar farm in Brandenburg, currently under construction, and the operational 20.8 MW Hartungshof solar farm in Saarland are the latest additions to Octopus’ growing European renewables portfolio. These solar projects, managed by the Sky fund, aim to power 55,000 German homes annually, contributing to Octopus’ ambitious plan of over €1 billion investment in German green energy infrastructure by 2027. The company’s innovations, including the ‘Fan Club’ tariff and ‘Octopus Electroverse’ EV charging platform, have been transformative in the country’s clean energy landscape.
