India’s JSW Energy, through its subsidiary JSW Neo Energy, received a Letter of Award (LoA) from NTPC for the development of a 400 MW ISTS-connected solar power project under the NTPC-ISTS-III bid. This increased JSW Energy’s total locked-in generation capacity to 19.6 GW, including 4.4 GW from solar projects. The project was aligned with the company’s objectives of reaching 10 GW operational capacity by FY 2025 and 20 GW by 2030. The solar plant’s output was expected to contribute to JSW’s carbon neutrality target by 2050.
