Nexif Ratch Energy (NRE), a Singapore-based leader in renewable energy, has announced the successful commercial operation of its Calabanga Solar Project (CARE) in Camarines Sur, South Luzon, Philippines. This 74.2 MWp ground-mounted PV facility, the first utility-scale solar project in the Bicol Region, has begun operations after thorough testing and commissioning by the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines. According to NRE, CARE will contribute clean energy to the national grid, with the majority of its output sold under a 10-year Power Supply Agreement with a subsidiary of Aboitiz Power Corporation Group and ensures stable revenue for NRE. The Calabanga project is NRE’s first operational venture in the Philippines. NRE oversees a renewable asset portfolio of 378 MW and a development pipeline exceeding 6 GW globally.
